Rubber-Stamping Liberal Policies.

I was in the tag office the other day to renew my yearly auto tag, get a new sticker for the plate as a witness that I’m a good citizen and pay my taxes as told. I paid taxes when I bought the car. I pay taxes each year in order to legally drive the car. I pay taxes each time I fill the car with gas. I pay taxes when I pay for the insurance, although those taxes are hidden in the corporate income taxes, but then passed on to people like me in higher insurance premiums. But all those taxes are another story for another time. The clerk looked at my insurance verification form and the vehicle registration form and then boom, a big rubber stamp came down on the form, boom, and that was it, I’m legal for another year. Next. Hmmmmm.

Is this not what the liberal democratic base does to their elected officials? Rubber stamp what their top representatives say and do, and then shout it on the housetops. Have there been any times when the liberal democratic base stood up against a democratic President? Did they revolt over Clinton’s abuse of the oval desk? Did they revolt over Carter’s double-digit inflation policies? Have they revolted against the democratic speaker of the house? The senate democratic leader? Or even uttered a critical word? Tell me; have there been any of those in-party revolts originating from the outside base? Rubber stampers. Look at the forms and boom, accepted as fact. Next.

We’ve all just witnessed a revolt of the conservative base against their own president.

That’s an occasion to celebrate for democracy, for the republic for which it stands, for the constitution, the founders and their wisdom. The people spoke, the representatives listened, even though it was damaging to the power and image of the President. It worked this time folks.

But the liberals are rubber stampers. Take Al Gore for example. Conservatives being a bit skeptical of each and every governmental program, have not rubber stamped the Gore crowd about global climate change. The liberals have. Even the mainstream press has put their stamp of approval on the global climate change theories. But, there are plenty of opposition scientists with just as much scientific background and experience that refute the entire man made global warming, or climate change theory. Refute it outright. Say it’s nothing but a bunch of bunk or hooey. Even a well-known climatologist with the national weather service disagrees. But the liberals go on to rubber-stamping and then call all of the skeptic’s names for not being rubber stampers.

Why?

Liberals believe that the government is the answer to problems. Conservatives believe that a smaller and limited government is best, and that people are able to solve problems on their own.

Liberals believe that the ordinary people do not have the ability to solve their own problems.

Big government knows best. Rubber-stamp it.

The surge is working….things the press and the left leaves out.

Published by Arnie under Islamic things, THE War

Those old sunni militias who at one time were fighting against the allied forces in Iraq, have had about enough of the al-qaeda bunch. So says this report from Australia news.

“SUNNI militias that once fought US troops are now seeking to join them, frustrated by al-Qaeda’s influence in parts of Baghdad, a US commander said.

Maj Gen Joseph Fil, commander of US forces in Baghdad, said working with the militias compensates for insufficient Iraqi police presence in some neighborhoods.

“Some of them who have previously been fighting us have come to us as we’ve spoken with them and they want to fight with us,” Maj Gen Fil said.

“They are tired of al-Qaeda and the influence of al-Qaeda in their tribes and in their neighborhoods and they want them cleaned out and they want to form an alliance in order to rid themselves of this blight.”

Evidently the surge is working , something is working, the allied forces are working, the Iraq people themselves are working. There is hope yet. Ain’t that amazing. Stay the course. It’s not over till it’s over.

And in light of the thwarted terrorist attack in London today, it makes it even more evident that these radical Islamic fascists must be stopped in their tracks once and for all. Well, we know that it will never be a once and for all ending of the al-qaeda faction of Islam. That’s a given, knowing their radical ideology. But we sure can put enough of them in their place…..under dirt or behind bars.

Keep it up General Joseph Fil, commander of US forces in Baghdad. You guys are doing a great job under horrendous circumstances that the liberal western press and politicians wish to not inform the public about.

Christie Whitman give the dems the answer…they did not want.

It got kind of nasty in the congressional hearing room yesterday as Christie Todd Whitman testified about the air quality over ground zero. But Christie shot back.

“Whitman drew hisses and guffaws from the crowd when she said, “I think the City of New York did absolutely everything in its power to do right by the citizens of New York.””

Rep. Jerrold Nadler, a Democrat whose district includes the World Trade Center site, claimed the Bush administration “has continued to make false, misleading and inaccurate statements, and refused to take remedial actions, even in the face of overwhelming evidence.”

“Whitman also had a testy exchange with rookie Rep. Keith Ellison, a Minnesota Democrat, telling him, “I have been called a liar, even in this room today. These were not whims; these were not decisions by a politician. Everything I said was based on what I was hearing from professionals. My son was in Building 7, congressman, and I almost lost him,”

Whitman, who was peppered by Democrats for three hours, decried the allegations as “misinformation, innuendo and downright falsehoods.”

The hearing is about the health issues facing many who responded to the attack in one way or another and were exposed to the fumes, the dust, and the debris, and are now wanting answers of why the government did not do a better job of protecting them.

Basically her answer was “the terrorists that attacked the United States” were to blame - not the government. Read more….

That’s not exactly what the democrats and the liberals wanted to hear. Since Whitman is a political appointment of George Bush, and a former republican governor of New Jersey, it was seen by the democrats as another way to get to Bush. You know, take every opportunity to blame Bush and the evil republicans.

Some of the many claims for health issues have been bogus. Just people seeing an opportunity to “get some cash out of the government.” It’s our system.. It was the same for some of the Katrina victims(?) Victim hood is applauded. Become a victim and the world is yours.

Weather patterns are changing, call it climate change.

Published by Arnie under Environmental

Hope you don’t mind that I change the terminology a bit and call the climate change issue by another name, weather patterns. There was an article out just recently by, of all people, a German and a Swiss environmental specialist scientist saying that sun spots and the changing activity of the sun is the cause of the weather patterns we’ve been experiencing. A bit cooler to a bit warmer and back to a bit cooler, back and forth and round about the weather changes. It’s amazing. Read more on that.

A new greenhouse gas emitter has been discovered, earthworms. … a German study found that worms produce greenhouse gases 290 times more potent than carbon dioxide.” Now guess what all of these worms are doing. They are composting our waste as a measure to combat global warming carbon dioxide emission reductions, but now, worms are contributing to what they are supposed to be eliminating. It’s a mess trying to sort out all of this stuff.

http://www.shortnews.com/start.cfm?id=63227

Poison ivy is now more potent than ever because of global warming. A recent experiment conducted by Lewis Ziska, a plant physiologist for the U.S. Department of Agriculture, supports the theory. All under controlled man created conditions. So watch out for poison ivy.

Now if you are one of the many scientists who have not climbed aboard the Gore train of believers, then you may be listed as a denier in the Society of Environmental Journalists guide book “on climate change that lists a number of publications on global warming, scientists and seven environmental groups, each with positive descriptions. Under the “Deniers, Dissenters and ‘Skeptics’” category are four listings — all negative. They suggest that these folk are venal, partisan and bad scientists, or all of the above.”

Get this right now, if you want correct information about global climate change, global warming or cooling, or changing weather patterns, then you should go to this ‘guide book’ to lead you in the right direction. I mean, they are journalists after all. If you one of those just a bit skeptical about the entire man caused climate change theory, then you are labeled. That a way to go independent journalists. Debra Saunders has brought this to light in her article today right here on Townhall.

And then there are everyday average people who feel that the entire global warming thing is a bunch of hooey. A poll has determined that 71% of just average day in day out everyday people think that temperature changes naturally. And 65 percent think that scientists’ catastrophic predictions if pollution isn’t curbed are ‘far fetched’.

Obama now attacking Christian Rights.

“Sen. Barack Obama told a church convention Saturday that some right- wing evangelical leaders have exploited and politicized religious beliefs in an effort to sow division.” Yea, right, that was the motive or the evangelical leaders. To sow division among the many denominations, rather than trying to unite the body of Christ in order to put up a unified fight against the liberal secular progressives who are hijacking the Judeo-Christian heritage of America. No Barrack, you have it all wrong.

This church convention was sponsored by the United Church of Christ who invited Obama to come and speak, and speak he did. Speak out against what he calls the Christian Right to a group of people associated with the United Church of Christ, the Christian left wing. If you were attending a dinner party of your side of the family, would you think it the right thing to do to speak out against your spouses’ side of the family? Would your spouse think it was cool? Do you think it might cause a division? Then you said your spouses’ side started it all by hijacking your side by only getting political on certain issues, and not supporting some political issues your spouses’ side of the family favored.

“Part of it’s because of the so-called leaders of the Christian Right, who’ve been all too eager to exploit what divides us,” the Illinois senator said. “At every opportunity, they’ve told evangelical Christians that Democrats disrespect their values and dislike their church, while suggesting to the rest of the country that religious Americans care only about issues like abortion and gay marriage, school prayer and intelligent design,” according to an advance copy of his speech.

If I recall correctly, the Christian Right he is talking about, stood up for simple basic things important to Christianity. Things like the Ten Commandments, Voluntary School prayer, Abortion on demand, the teaching of creationism in schools next to the teaching of evolution, since neither one can be scientifically proven and should be treated as equally valid belief systems. And this one appears to be one of the biggies that Obama does not like, “male and female, created He them” Genesis 1: 27. No where in the Bible, does the scriptures say anything that would indicate that “As you mature then males can choose to be females and females can choose to be males.” And, “if a male wishes to live with a male and a woman wishes to live with a woman, do so in love and adoration, because Love is the primary thing.” But that is exactly what the progressive modern day part of Christianity wants the mainstream Christian Right to accept. I presume that we can’t and we won’t.

If that is divisive, so be it. But the divisive part will end up being on the progressives for breaking away from the mainstream and not accepting the scriptures as they are written, but instead, interpreting them in the light of modern day trends. The mainstream Christian Right does not hate the gays, we just hate what they do, as we also love the murderer, but hate the act of murder, as we also love the law-breaker, but hate the criminal acts he/she commits as we also do not hate the infidel, but only hate the idea of infidelity. Get that through your head Obama.

Yes, Barrack, you are flat out wrong.

A few notes about the gay advocacy of the United Church of Christ follows.

1985

The General Synod of the UCC adopted the Open and Affirming resolution,

which began this denomination-wide witness to inclusion, affirmation, and justice for

lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender/same-gender-loving (lgbt/sgl) persons.

1991
At the Eighteenth General Synod, a Resolution is voted, affirming the ministries of gay, lesbian, and bisexual Christians. An amendment, offered from the floor by a conference minister and approved, “urgently calls upon the local churches, associations and conferences to engage in a disciplined dialogue” on the biblical and theological foundations for being open-and-affirming, and requests that instrumentalities “provide study resources for the United Church of Christ.”
(91-GS-66, Minutes, p. 71.)

Now the Church of Christ has developed a special web resource for the LGBT community.

Obama, you are speaking as a babe, not knowing what you say and endorse.

Mexico wants US to pay for their drug war.

Published by Arnie under Just general stuff, Immigration

You just got to love the thinking of the Mexican government. They can’t handle their own drug problem. They can’t handle their own economic problems. They can’t handle their own lack of opportunity for their own citizens, so ask the big daddy neighborly neighbor up north to help.

“Mexico has asked the United States for 1 billion dollars in equipment and training to fight drug traffic,” the Mexican daily El Universal reported. The report stated that the US is considering the proposal. Sure enough. You taking any bets that our folks in Washington just might comply, because they would argue, it would be in our own best interest to fight the drug trafficking within Mexico so that the drugs would not come here, since the drug use in the US is the biggest market for the Mexican produced contraband. The reasoning only makes sense, right? There are enough liberals around to buy into the scam.

Well how about a counter offer. Ask Mexico for a hundred billion to help pay for the medical expenses when the Mexican citizens illegally here in the US need medical care while they are illegally here in the US. I had to emphasize the “illegally here in the US” part, because I know that the many favoring an open border policy, do not consider it a criminal offense to break our laws, it’s just humans wanting to have a better life. Anyway, we good-hearted Americans provide the medical care to those millions of illegals, free of charge, and then, even though the authorities know they are illegal, they still don’t send them back to Mexico. A win win situation for Mexicans. America loses out again. America exercising it’s right to be stupid again.

“A study by the Federation for American Immigration Reform estimated that in 2004 the annual uncompensated cost of medical care for illegal immigrants in California was $1.4 billion. Total uncompensated educational, health care and incarceration costs were estimated to be 10.5 billion.” That’s just in California alone and the report was made in 2004. Include 48 more states and add three years and it could be up around 100 billion.

A wall like that China thing would do quite nice. It’s truly amazing that thousands of years ago, that great wall of China could be built, and today with all of our super duper heavy equipment, we cannot build a simple fence that meets all of the codes and environmental studies and property rights concerns. It cannot be done. How far we have come.

Graduation Ceremonies, UCLA style

Published by Arnie under Uncategorized

At UCLA, you can choose how many graduation ceremonies you want to be cheered and screamed at by your family and friends. Depending on your racial and orientationtational make up.

“Some students are presumably eligible for four or five graduations. A gay student with a Native American father and a Filipino mother could attend the Asian, Filipino, and American Indian ceremonies, plus the mainstream graduation and the Lavender Graduation for gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered students.” Now ain’t that special. The reason that the educators and administrators at UCLA thought this was special was because of American Imperialism. Yep, you read that right. American Imperialism. It’s the cause of it all. White American males.

“But the core reason for separatist graduations is the obvious one: on campus, assimilation is a hostile force, the domestic version of American imperialism.” Read it all.

It’s the white American males who caused the major world wars. It’s the white American males who stole the southwest from the Mexicans. It’s the white American males who drove the native Americans from their park like land. It’s the white American males who were responsible for leveling Hiroshima. It’s the white American males who, in cahoots with the evil profit mongering oil companies, have caused all of the pollution in the world. It’s the white American males who have caused the aids epidemic to spread like wildfire into Africa and will not now fund the cure for it. It’s the white Christian males who enslaved the blacks and then created the KKK to keep the blacks on their plantations. It’s time for revenge. It’s time for reparations.

So goes the thinking that our kids are getting in their higher education universities across America. Could it be that bad? Tell me that UCLA is just one lone isolated school doing such crazy stuff. What the heck is wrong with just ONE graduation ceremony for the entire school?

You kids have families and friends, then get together after the big event for your own ethnic party.

Now that you graduates are going out into the real world, may I offer just a bit of advice? There are some things expected at work that are not expected while you were in school like, try to show up every day and complete your assignments on time. Good luck.

Newt and his ten point immigration fix.

Published by Arnie under Uncategorized

From Newt Gingrich and his 10 point plan for immigration reform.

3.       “Outsource to American Express, Visa or MasterCard the job of building a real-time verification system so that honest companies can confirm the legal status of all workers and identify people with forged papers before they hire them as fast as your automatic teller machine identifies you and gives you money in a matter of seconds. We must distinguish between companies that deliberately hire illegal workers and companies that hire people who they believe are legal. It is the government’s duty to help this second group of companies by providing a real-time verification system for identifying the legal status of all workers so that it is possible to screen out those with illegal documents. The government should outsource the creation of this system so that it is easy, fast and accurate.”  The rest of the plan is available here.

Yes folks, it’s just numbers associated with names, sex, date of birth, eye color and things like that.  Amazon and those credit card companies, and banks have huge databases with millions of people and their personal information securely kept for inspection and periodically updated.  Go ahead log into Amazon to buy a book or whatever, you enter your log in name, your pin number and zippo, you are ready for another transaction, or you can check on a previous order for shipping date etc.  And gee wiz folks, you even trust it with your credit card number.  It’s secure.  It’s digitally encrypted.

Now, why can’t our federal government develop a similar secure employment verification system?   Rather than pushing the stupid Basic Pilot Program which has so many loopholes in it that an illegal alien can still be hired after an employer checks the information.

It’s just numbers, private SSN’s, employer Identification numbers, and legal visa numbers.  Each associated with a name, address, sex, date of birth, and such.  Simple.  We consider the Amazon system simple to use and secure, otherwise millions of shoppers would not be using it daily.

An applicant comes in and applies for a job, after the interview, the employer logs in to the federal system, enters the ssn, the name of the applicant and other information, and then a screen appears, “OK to hire”, or “need additional information”, or “that number is currently in use”.  Hey, Hosea, you can start work tomorrow.  Or, sorry Hosea, but I need some more information.  Or, sorry Hosea, we’ll have to wait a few days as that number you gave me shows that you are currently working in Des Moines, Iowa.  A flag goes up, the feds double check the person in Des Moines, and it goes from there.  If Hosea is not the owner of the number, the feds are alerted in that town, they know the address he supplied to the employer, and knock on the door.  Hosea, come with us.

Simple folks.  Numbers associated with personal information.  But can the feds be trusted to set up such a secure system?  We the people trust Amazon, American Express, Visa and Master card, and the banks.  But the feds?   It appears they also know that they cannot be trusted.  Surely, it’s not a case of stupidity.
