By now, the earth knows that Hillary Rodham cares about the citizens of the US as she unveiled her new and improved Universal Health Care plan for the US, so that “everyone” is covered under one plan or another.  It will be mandated to have health insurance, just as it is mandated to have automobile insurance.

But, as more and more folks look into the details of her estimated $110 Billion dollar baby, more and more of the loopholes are uncovered.  The biggie today was that she has no plans for the 12 million or so illegal immigrants.  Well, Ok, the feds are taking care of that now anyway.

“Here in America people are dying because they couldn’t get the care they needed when they were sick,”  Hillary said in a speech in a Des Moines hospital. 

In her plan, Clinton said families would receive tax credits to help pay for coverage. The tax credit would be designed to limit the premiums to a percentage of a family’s income. 

Federal subsidies would be provided for those who are not able to afford insurance, and large businesses would be expected to provide or help pay for their employees’ insurance.

Clinton said her plan would not require small businesses to take part, but will offer tax credits to encourage them to do so.  Link.

So, let me get this straight.   Another line or two on the tax forms.  So, I’d pay up now, and then get the credit at the end of the year, right?  And who determines what the best possible percentage would be?  Is that on a sliding scale or straight line scale?   What if I lose my job and can’t pay up during the year?   What if….?  

Oh, OK, the feds will take care of me when I can’t afford it.  And Hillary says that large businesses would help pay for those premiums.  Hey, that’s going on now.  Union paid insurance.  Employer/employee plans.  Nothing new there.   Oh, Ok, the feds would take care of the ones that are on temporary status.

Small business to get tax credits?  How small?  A real mom and pop store with one or two other employees is going to have to provide insurance for a tax credit.   And if they choose not to after all that encouragement.   Oh, OK, the feds would take care of the uninsured.

I get the idea. 

I hear about tax credits being given out, and I hear about the feds taking care of those who do not have insurance, but where oh where is that $110,000,000,050 (she is hoping for a good estimate) coming from to pay for all those credits and free health care?  Oh, Ok, Hillary would remove the tax benefits granted under the Bush tax cuts that has helped spur the economy to great heights, the Dow Jones to all time new records and the lowest unemployment rate in years.   That’s where the money will come from, she says.  Oh, Ok brilliant idea.   It’ll take several years to see the economic decline and Americans will not be ale to connect the dots as we will all be so very happy and healthy.

Now I know personally of a woman who almost died because she lives in a small town and was taken to another small town ill-equipped hospital for treatment.  If it were not for the compassion and the fortitude of the mother in insisting upon moving the lady to a larger hospital, an hour and a half away, the woman would have died as her colon had erupted.  She arrived in time to have emergency surgery and her life was saved. 

Hillary is right, people are dying because they choose to live in small towns all across America where hospitals and good qualified doctors are not right around the corner.  How will Hillary fix this so that those small towns are able to provide good quality care to those citizens?  Huh?  It could be something akin to taking from the rich to give to the poor, only this would be taking from those who live in large cities to give to those who live in small towns. 

I think I got the idea of “American Health Choices Plan.”

And so it goes.  Yesterday was Constitution Day in America, and tell me where in that document does it give the power to the federal government to force people to purchase insurance.   She wants to be president and has yet to read the constitution?
