Immigration madness. Catch and release.
Julie Myers, the chief head of ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) is in trouble, in deep waters, over her head, and she is running the agency responsible for enforcing laws. Julie has said that the policy of catch and release is a thing of the past. Ha. The name of her agency is enforcement, that’s the job she should be doing and that is what she is not doing. Enforce the laws.
Michele Malkin has a bit on Julie. “No Tears . . . “
And even the movie critic Debbie Schlussel is getting a kick out of Julie Myers and her catch and release policies. The newest and latest is about lactating mothers. ICE’s Illegal Alien La Leche League: Forget Catch & Release, Meet Catch & Re . . .Lactate?
“You’ll love the latest . . . with a catchy feminist twist. If you’re an illegal alien female (I doubt this will work with males but, with The ICE Princess, ya never know), you can claim you are lactating and must nurse your baby. And presto, you will be released from custody. Yes, just the latest item that puts the lie to her claim that catch and release of illegal aliens has ended. It hasn’t.”
Liberals gone wild.
From the mind of Julie Myers: Memo November 7th to All Field Office Directors and All Special Agents in Charge.
Discretionary catch and Release. Sure thing. We have attorney generals like Johnny Sutton who are discretionary when it comes to prosecuting drug smugglers like Aldrete Davila and sending border agents to jail like Ramos and Compean. Our courts are full of judges who use a discretionary method of interpreting the constitution. Our congress is filled with elected officials who fill bills with discretionary pork barrel projects.
Discretion: The quality of being discreet; circumspection. Freedom to act or judge on one’s own.
A criminal uses discretion when he picks out this bank to rob rather than any other. A rapist uses discretion on who his next victim might be.
Could we please have some people who follow the law.
As I See It.
